Data You Give Us Directly
Search Queries
A query entered in a search box is sent to the outside company that operates that tool. The provider processes the name, case number, or other terms and supplies its own results. Moffat County Court Docket does not keep a log of those search terms on its own systems.
Messages and Contact Submissions
If a visitor sends an email, the message may be retained long enough to respond and maintain the related correspondence. It is not shared beyond the organization unless disclosure is required by law.
Data We Gather Automatically
Normal server and analytics records may collect technical facts about a visit:
- The device's Internet Protocol address
- Browser name and version
- Operating system and device category
- Pages viewed and approximate time spent
- The referring website, when available
- Date and time associated with a page request
Cookies and Analytics
Cookies are small files placed on a device. They can help measure visits, popular pages, and navigation patterns. Analytics services may combine those signals into traffic reports. A browser can block or remove cookies, though a feature may work differently after that choice.
What We Do With This Data
Collected technical data may support ordinary site operations and the delivery of search or advertising features.
- Operating, securing, and improving the website
- Routing a query to the selected search partner
- Measuring which reference pages serve visitors
- Finding faults, misuse, and performance problems
- Displaying advertising that may reflect visitor interests
No Court-Record Data on File
Moffat County Court Docket does not host, assemble, sell, or maintain a database of Colorado court dockets or personal case records. Its reference content identifies where the Clerk of Court, Moffat Combined Court, the state Judicial Branch, and municipal courts keep official information. Visitor data is not combined into a report about any third person. The site is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act. Access to Colorado Judicial Branch case records follows Chief Justice Directive 05-01, while the Colorado Open Records Act, C.R.S. ยงยง 24-72-200.1 through 24-72-206, governs public records generally and does not replace the court-case access rules.
Third-Party Search Partners
Outside companies supply search boxes that appear on some pages. Data entered there is subject to the selected provider's privacy policy, retention practices, and sharing rules. Those practices are not controlled by this policy. Visitors should read the provider's terms before submitting a query.
Links to Other Websites
Links may lead to the Colorado Judicial Branch, Moffat County offices, municipal court pages, official statutes, or outside services. Once a visitor follows such a link, the destination's privacy terms control. Personal details should not be submitted until those terms have been reviewed.
Advertising services may use their own technology to measure activity across websites. That processing occurs on the provider's systems.
Who Might See Your Data
Personal information is not sold. Limited data may be disclosed to:
- Search providers that process a visitor's chosen query
- Hosting and analytics providers that support performance
- Advertising networks serving content on the site
- A government or law-enforcement body acting under valid legal process
How We Protect Your Data
Reasonable administrative and technical safeguards are used to protect information. No internet service can promise perfect security, so use of the site still carries ordinary online risks.
Users Under 18
The site is intended for adults and does not knowingly seek personal information from children. Information identified as having been submitted by a minor will be removed when reasonably possible.
Your Data Rights
Rights may vary with residence and applicable law. Colorado residents may have qualifying rights under the Colorado Privacy Act, C.R.S. §§ 6-1-1301 through 6-1-1314. Subject to the statute's scope and exceptions, a person may be able to:
- Confirm whether personal data is processed and obtain access
- Request correction of inaccurate personal data
- Ask for deletion of covered personal data
- Obtain qualifying data in a portable form
- Opt out of certain targeted advertising, sales, or profiling
